That Rohit Shetty has made some great entertainers in the past, is known to all and sundry. Naturally then, you expect the ultimate in entertainment from his next release GOLMAAL 3, produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision. The challenge lies in superseding the first two installments of GOLMAAL in terms of content and of course, business.

GOLMAAL 3 carries the burden of humungous expectations and the first promo of the film more than lives up to the hype. Like all Rohit Shetty films, GOLMAAL 3 promises lots of fun, excitement and loads of entertainment. I am sure, the promo will be greeted with ceetees and taalis at plexes and single screens alike. It leaves you asking for more!

This Diwali, GOLMAAL 3 is sure to strike like lightening. It is sure to tickle your funny bone yet again. Oh yes, this time it promises to be bigger and better. This writer had an exclusive dekko at the first promo of GOLMAAL 3. It will officially be launched with DABANGG next Friday [10th September].

Although animation films haven’t really made a mark in India, the fortunes could change for better with UTV, Karan Johar and now Ketan Mehta in the fray. Ketan Mehta, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, is back after a sabbatical. And this time it’s with an animation film called RAMAYANA – THE EPIC, which has been directed by Chetan Desai.

This writer had an exclusive dekko at the first promo of RAMAYANA – THE EPIC and I wish to add that one is mesmerized by the stylized and contemporary manner in which the makers have narrated the story. Slated for release on Dashehra [15th October], the film will be released in six versions simultaneously across India – Hindi, Tamil Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali. Hollywood giant Warner Bros. is distributing the film in India.

The first promo will be launched tonite [Thursday] amidst industry bigwigs at an event in Mumbai.

We are all aware of the latest Bollywood buzz that Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are seeing each other. Now, grapevine has it that the power couple had a fall out recently, when Piggy Chops got to hear Shahid’s growing closeness with Asin. This news didn’t go well with Priyanka.

Shahid and Asin bonded really well over while shooting for an ad in Hindi and Tamil. It was the Tamil language, that led to this bonding. Since Shahid does not know Tamil, the ‘Ghajini’ actress was seen teaching him with great interest. They shared a good camaraderie.

“The ad that we were shooting for was in Hindi and Tamil. I could manage it as I know both the languages. But Shahid was struggling with the Tamil part of it, so he took my help in getting the language right. He didn’t know Tamil at all, so the entire exercise turned out to be a fun session,” Asin told.

The situation took a turn when when Priyanka made a surprise visit to her boyfriend Shahid Kapoor. The actress turned pale on seeing Shahid sharing good rapport with Asin.

“Priyanka was not very comfortable seeing Asin and Shahid’s easy camaraderie,” says a source.

Kangna Ranaut: Have An Affair: Bollywood stars are often the targeted by the stalkers and this time the target was Once Upon A Time girl Kangna Ranaut. She became the target in Leena Mogre’s gym, which is her regular work out place. The story goes back to six months ago when a guy named Akash started writing obsessive love letters to Kangna. Akash Bhardwaj was one of the clients of Leena Mogre. Elaborating on this, a friend of Kangna was quoted saying that most of the letters were couriered to her. She said that the contents of the letter clearly indicated that he loved Kangna madly but the contents took a shocking turn in last few letters.

The friend of Kangna also said that the last few letters indicated that Akash was a psychopath as he had presumed that he was already having a relationship with her. She quoted some words of the letter, which read, ‘Kangna, mera haq hai tum par, you are made for me’.

The real face of the stalker came out after a few days. Kangna inquired about Akash to one of the trainers at the gym on Monday, who said that Akash was present there at that moment. The trainer then asked Akash why he was harassing Kangna. On this Akash said that it is his private matter with Kangna and the trainer should not get involved in this. Hearing this, Kangna was shocked and she started arguing with Akash. But he started speaking all rubbish, making Leena Mogre irritated enough to call up the cops.

In fact, he was not giving up till the last moment. Akash was then arrested by the police and put behind the bars. Confirming the news, Leena Mogre said that they have taken legal action against Akash and he is under police security now. She added that the guy always wanted her to introduce him with film directors but she does not want any more trouble in her gym. Salman Khan Up Comming & Mega Budget Movie DABANGG: Heard this?? Salman Khan’s upcoming mega-budget flick ‘Dabangg’ is so hot in the circuit that the owners of some single screen theatres have been refusing even Karan Johar’s upcoming ‘We Are Family’, starring Kajol- Kareena, a two week run at their theatres.

As Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Dabangg’ is set for an Eid release on September 10, the theatre owners’ two week commitment to Karan Johar would affect Salman’s film, as ‘We are Family’ is releasing on September 3.

For instance, Manoj Desai of Maratha Mandir says, ‘I can not take ‘We are family’ for just two shows. If Karan is confident about the film, he should not be asking for the commitment of two weeks. He should let the film speak for itself and let the single screen owners then decide.’

Some theatres like Premiere in Dadar are not prepared to release Karan Johar’s flick ‘We Are Family’ at all as they feel that it would affect the chances of making money with ‘Dabangg’, which is very hot among the audiences.

Even Chandan cinema in Juhu is yet to sign a deal with Karan Johar’s ‘We are Family’, while the deal with Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ has already been signed and sealed. However, UTV officials refuse the argument and say that they had already locked some theatres and even listing was out in newspapers etc.

It may be recalled that earlier Karan Johar’s ‘We Are Family’ starring Kareena Kapoor, Kajol and Arjun Rampal was set to release on Eid, September 10. But due to Salman Khan’s starrer ‘Dabangg’ coming on that date, it had been advanced by one week to September. However, even then two week commitment is creating problems for K Jo’s flick.
